Regardless, the real issue with the Disc-O-Bed double cot is its price, as all of these unique features make this an expensive option. While that is to be expected for such a unique and versatile design, it would be more helpful if these innovations did not also make this model more challenging to assemble– especially considering its numerous setups.

The Kamp-Rite Double Tent Cot comes from another company with a highly specific focus, which allows them to make the best tent cot we came across. The fact that this entry comes with a built-in tent will enable you to eschew the need for additional shelter without giving up quality.

For example, this is one of the more durable camping cots on our list thanks to the use of 190T TPU nylon for the fabric and canopy as well as aluminum for the frame. Like other sturdy camping cots, the Kamp-Rite Double Tent Cot resists water well and affords an excellent maximum weight capacity of 500 pounds.

Beyond the weight capacity, the Kamp-Rite Double Tent Cot allows you to comfortably sleep two people in the same cot with an 84” x 53” x 40” profile. As if that were not enough, this model is another model that can convert into different types of camping furniture, like a lounge chair.

Of course, like some of the other more versatile options on our list, the Kamp-Rite Double Tent Cot is an expensive product. It also does not help that the large dimensions and built-in tent make this one of the least portable models we reviewed with a carry bag packed size of 56” x 34” x 8” and a heavier weight of 51 pounds.

Coleman is by far one of the more recognizable and experienced companies on our list, which allows them to provide plenty of features at an excellent value. The Coleman Airbed Camping Cot is a perfect example of this as it is a less expensive option that also comes with features not found on more expensive competitors.

An excellent example of this is the included air mattress that provides a more comfortable sleep but can be detached and used separately if desired. To further highlight the value this entry affords, the Coleman Airbed Camping Cot also comes with a battery-powered air pump, so you do not have to worry about wasting your breath.

On top of that, this is one of the strongest camping cots we encountered with a maximum weight capacity of 600 pounds, likely due to the steel frame. Even better, the Coleman Airbed Camping Cot is one of the more comfortable entries in terms of size with a 78” x 59” x 22” profile, giving you plenty of width for two people.

There are no real dealbreakers in terms of flaws, but the mattress and its design are not ideal, with the mattress being extremely noisy as you move around at night. To make that issue worse, the mattress does not lock into the cot’s frame, making it feel unstable and sag at different places depending on where you lie.

Ivation is one of the few companies on our list that not only does not specialize in camping gear but does not have much of a focus beyond general consumer goods– though this allows it to make things easy and comfortable. To that point, this is only the second entry we reviewed, which comes with an air mattress.

While that is nice, what sets the Ivation cot’s air mattress apart from competitors is its construction, which includes 48 inner coils for comfort and support. However, general consumer goods also must be easy to use, and the self-deploying system of this model might be the easiest we encountered.

Aside from the fact that the frame and mattress quickly unfold, the air pump is built into the design and even allows you to designate the air mattress’s preferred firmness. Even more surprising, the Ivation EZ Bed two-person cot provides plenty of space at 79” x 61” x 24” but also packs down into a compact 26” x 21” x 16” carry bag — not an easy feat to pull off.

Of course, whenever a given product provides more than most of the competition, you should expect to pay more too, and the Ivation EZ Bed is expensive. Also, consumer goods are not made for extreme circumstances, so the pedestrian PVC polyester and the maximum weight capacity of 450 pounds are merely adequate but nothing exceptional.

The name TETON Sports is a bit misleading as the company focuses on camping gear, but that moniker might help explain why they made sure this entry was so strong. Specifically, the TETON Sports Outfitter XXL Camp Cot is the strongest option on our list with a maximum weight capacity of 600 pounds and S-Legs that are sturdier than most.

Aside from the fact this model’s S-Legs allow it to hold up so much weight, it also prevents the need for a middle bar, which allows this model to be more comfortable than most. Of course, the TETON Sports Outfitter XXL Camp Cot can get away with this design because it uses a combination of steel and aluminum for the frame.

Beyond that, TETON further reinforces the comfort and durability by using 600D PVC polyester fabric, which also helps with water resistance. One of the more surprising qualities of the TETON Sports Outfitter XXL Camp Cot is that it only weighs 26 pounds, making it easier to transport.

This cot is not without its issues, though, as its lightweight design still has to contend with a less-than-compact packed profile that reduces its portability a little. This is also not an option if you need to set up quickly as it can be challenging to assemble and does not lock into place as well as other options.

Outsunny is an in-house brand of the AOSOM online retailer, and while they do not specialize in camping gear, they still offer excellent value. For starters, this model is inexpensive and able to fit pretty much anyone’s budget while still meeting most industry standards.

An excellent example of this is the provided size of 76” x 49 ½” x 15 ¾” making it wider than some of its more specialized and expensive competitors. Even better, the Outsunny Portable Wide Folding Camping Cot employs 600D PVC polyester for the fabric and steel for the frame.

For those who may want to hike to a more remote camping spot, this 2-person cot has you covered thanks to the lightest design we reviewed at only 24 pounds. As if that were not enough, the Outsunny Portable Wide Folding Camping Cot is one of the few entries that combines that also provides a compact profile at 38 ¼” x 7 ½” x 6”.

That said, budget-friendly products tend to fall short of higher-end competition, and the Outsunny Portable Wide Folding Camping Cot is not the most durable option we reviewed. To make matters worse, the solid size of this double cot does not make up for the fact it only has a maximum weight capacity of 300 pounds.

Our final entry comes from Kamp-Rite, a company specializing in producing mid-tier products at lower prices than most. To that end, the Kamp-Rite Double Kwik Tent Cot is inexpensive, but it also provides a vast range of specs compared to the competition.

For example, this model provides more space than most with an 85” x 55” x 19” profile that is both one of the longest and widest entries on our list. To further reinforce the solid range of specs afforded, the Kamp-Rite Double Kwik Tent Cot also offers a tremendous maximum weight capacity of 500 pounds.

Continuing to fall in line with industry standards, this two-person does not suffer from durability issues thanks to the combination of 600D PVC polyester fabric and a steel frame. What makes these specs all the more surprising is that the Kamp-Rite Double Kwik Tent Cot is lighter than most at only 33 pounds.

Unfortunately, this 2-person cot could not pull off the portable duo as its packed size is more significant than you would prefer at 42” x 11” x 11”. That said, the biggest issue with the Kamp-Rite Double Kwik Tent Cot is its support construction, which uses the dreaded middle bar and can make it uncomfortable to sleep on without an air mattress.
